Thanks for the review, I have seen many on both versions. I was going to the original as I do love the abalone dial. But after watching this video I now may opt for the 2nd version.

This is an awesome watch. We went hiking yesterday and we were almost 3,000 feet above sea level, that’s about double that of where I live. I have a compass and altimeter on my phone but it doesn’t tell the temperature, but of course with me being a watch guy I think having all of that on a watch is much cooler anyway. I always like to be able to see the temperature drop and elevation rise as you go into the mountains.

Ordered mines from Japan. Got here today. I love it. But it is a really thick watch. I have a collection of g’s and garmin’s. This by far is the biggest watch i own. I thought my 7x pro was big. Nope. This thing tops it. Also I’m not a fan of the buttons. You really gotta push them hard. But like every other watch, I will be putting this one to the test.

The only drawback for this watch is the meca quartz movement. If you get the watch with a misaligned second's hand , you can't adjust to align the second's hand like normal quartz.

Hey Maverick, the movement is possibly the same as mine. Z205 white plastic, main pinion " the turn thing", the stainless steel case pretty much stamped metal. About as much as a new battery, youre right. a Miyota 2115 is 2 Bucks? Mhhhh my moody mind working overtime.. still a great watch for non serious life plans.

Good looking watch! However, I believe it runs small on a big wrist. It seems like all the pictures and reviews of it don't have a good distance picture of it on a wrist, or the person wearing it has small wrists/arms. I am used to G-Shocks and Garmin Tactix, and that size looks much better, in my opinion. It's a masculine watch, and masculinity should be accompanied by a little bit larger watch.

Yeah, a king is back in the egg box, and it's naked this time.... to be honest, I'm perfectly satisfied with my solar atomic positive King....by the way, that band doesn't seems to be the same as mine, it just looks....different. That's basically a Mudman's father I'm really surprised it's not a bluetooth toy.

I have an original pogue passed down from my father. It needed a cleaning and a new crystal so i just took it to tge only jewler in my area that works on watches. I found out they send them out to a watchmaker for the atual work. He quoted me $180 for the cleaning and $40 for the hardlux crystal. He called me yeaterday and said it was ready and price is $450 for cleaning and crystal. I feel cheated because quote was way off yet a good seiko cost around that much and value of watch is now $1,200+ but im happy to have ny senimental watch working.

Is there a reason why the bezel looks a little more bold lettering? As to other models the bezel has a thinner grayish font?

My only disappointment for this Rangeman is the lack of moon phases/moon graph. I would grab that Rangeman as fast as possible before it solds out if it has moon graph.

Nice comprehensive review bro thank you. I absolutely love the feature set of this watch however even with the positive display I feel it is lacking contrast and therefore a bit of readability as a result. Think I’ll have to have a look at one in person

I got the non-chronograph version. Very happy with it. Reminds me of a Tag Heuer
